Recommended Equipment and Configuration
The following is a list of recommended equipment for use
with the Sale Maxx System running on an IBM PC/XT/AT/PS-2 or
compatible computer:
640K Main Memory
1 Floppy Drive
20 Megabyte Hard Disk (with a minimum of 10 meg
available for use)
Monochrome or Color Monitor

The Sale Maxx System uses the system clock for many
of its calculations. The system clock is also used to date
transactions. It is very important therefore, that you enter
the correct date when the computer is first booted up or
have a real time clock installed.
The use of memory resident programs or menuing systems
may adversely affect the operation of Sale Maxx.
If you have a memory resident program or menuing system
installed in the computer and the Sale Maxx System
becomes non-functional or will not load and run, remove the
memory resident program or menuing system and re-run the
Sale Maxx System.
WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE COMPATIBILITY OF THIS SOFTWARE WITH
ANY MEMORY RESIDENT PROGRAM OR MENUING SYSTEM UNLESS IT HAS BEEN
TESTED BY COMPU-CLINIC.

A Message about the Keyboard
The Sale Maxx System makes extensive use of menus for you to
choose the type of operation you need to perform. Each menu
consists of a NAME, a list of operations and sometimes a
selection prompt.
The NAME of the menu tells you which menu you are currently
in. The list of operations are those functions which you may
access or perform from this menu. After you perform a function,
you will be returned to this same menu automatically. If there is
a selection prompt, this prompt will show the operation you will
be performing. The prompted menus are usually found inside a
function.
To select a menu item, use the cursor keys to move the
highlight bar to the item you wish to perform and press
<RETURN>. You may also press the letter that corresponds to
the first letter of the function name and press <RETURN>.
The Sale Maxx System also makes use of the special
function and control keys on the keyboard. The keys most
used are listed below:
F1 - HELP (anytime)
F2 - Calculator (anytime)
F3 - Calendar (anytime)
F5 - Print Reports
